Subject: TAB: Sinner's Prayer (Clapton)

Installment 5 of my From The Cradle tabs. This one is pretty much a piano
piece, so there's not all that much here.

I've gotten pretty stuck on Reconsider Baby, so this may be it for a while...

{"riff — &" means play the riff from the start until the line of ampersands}

[E] Lord have mercy, [A] Lord have mercy on me. [E]
[E] Lord have [A] mercy, Lord have mercy on me. [E] [riff — &]
Well if I've [B] done somebody wrong, [A] Lord, have mercy [E] if you
please. [riff]

[E] I used to have plenty of money, [A] the finest clothes in town,
[E] But bad luck and trouble overtaken me, bound to get me down.
Please have [A] mercy, Lord have mercy on me. [E] [riff — &]
Well if I've [B] done somebody wrong, [A] Lord, have mercy [E] if you
please. [riff]

[E] [A] Keep on working now, child.
[E] [A] Lord every morning.

  Solo on [A] [E]
          [B] [A] [E]

{The solo starts out:
(e) |————————————————————————————————————|
(B) |————8—10—11—————8—10—11—————8—10—11—|
(G) |——9———————————9———————————9—————————|
After that, it turns into a flurry of notes, which is really hard to tab
out, and I didn't find it quite compelling enough to spend all the time.}

[E] Well if I've been a bad boy, baby, [A] I declare I'll change my ways.
[E] I don't want bad luck and trouble to follow me all my days.
Please have [A] mercy, Lord have mercy on me. [E] [riff — &]
Well if I've [B] done somebody wrong, [A] Lord, have mercy [E] if you please.
