You basically sing over the chord progression, trying to start on G and end on C.
He did this on the first take, so you can definitely make improvements on where
the chords are placed in relation to the lyrics. Chord fingerings are based on
the youtube video he posted, which is a little higher voiced than the one used in
the original he's covering. Not sure what "chord" his C chord really is, but
that's what he uses, muted low E string and all.
