  Rate this tab:
i saw the chords to "you and me" on this and they were close but wrong. i figured thi
out a while back and i played and played it and then i bought the last dj song book and
saw that my chords were correct! thats the first time i did something by myself and they
were correct! so here is my favorite tom petty song "you and me" in the correct way.

"You and Me"

and the road ahead

I can't save you from yourself
               Em Em(maj7) B7
you got to want it, all that's left
              Am D7
is you and me
               Am D7
and the road ahead

G
wherever that wind might blow
Bm/F# F
wherever that river rolls

you know I will go with you Ooh...

       G Bm/F#
looking over a mountain's crown
                Em Em(maj7) B7
the water roars and tumbles down
                 Am D7
like you and me
                    Am D7
and the road ahead

G
wherever that wind might blow
Bm/F# F
wherever that river rolls
                           Am D7 Am D7
You know I will go with you Ooh...
                Am D7
like you and me
       Am D7 Am
and the road ahead

Ahead...

Outro: G

PS:

—at the intro the piano does a riff its the notes B C B A B i always do B C B A G B but
whichever floats your boat.
—Other posts I have done are:
under Tom Petty: "Surrender" and "Melinda" (should be up)
under John Mellencamp: "Thank You"
—i have some favorite quotes, but I'm too lazy to post them at the bottom, they're at
the bottom of the "melinda" chords.

"shes gods gift to man" —tp
